Doug made buying our forever home super easy. He definitely did all of the heavy lifting during the process, and I cannot be more thankful. I will recommend him to every person I know who is looking to buy a house. We had a list of specific things that we were looking for, and Doug made sure we found what we were looking for.

Doug was a real pleasure to work with. Immediately when meeting him I knew he was extremely knowledgeable and genuinely interested in making sure we were a good fit for each other. My wife and I came to the initial meeting with a list of questions but he answered them all during the casual conversation we had, we never had to ask them. Doug was willing to work with our relaxed pace, we were in no hurry to move and we wanted to wait until the right house came up. During the 5 months we worked with Doug he sent us daily updates with new listings that met our general criteria and he let us make the decisions on each one. We never received any negative feedback from him when we turned down nearly all of them (sorry Doug!). Because we were so picky there were only about half a dozen homes that we ended up seeing in person, and Doug was really excellent at communicating and scheduling these showings. During the showings it really felt like Doug was on our wavelength and he brought a lot of wisdom and professional opinion with him as well. He was willing to travel all over West Michigan to get us a showing, one day we saw a house in Cannonsburg then immediately turned around and drove to another one all the way in Shelbyville. When we finished the showing for our new home, Doug knew as well as we did that it was "the one". Throughout the closing process Doug and his team were very accommodating to us as first-timers. I write this about a week after we've taken possession of our new home and Doug is still following up to make sure all the loose ends are tied up. Throughout this entire process Doug never felt like a "business partner" in the sense that we were clients and he was the boss. Instead he's become a friend that helped us accomplish something we've been dreaming about for years. Our first home is perfect and we couldn't have done it without him. Thank you, Doug!

Doug was aggressive in listing our home for an amount higher than we thought we would be offered—and he was right! Our home sold over the initial asking price and in only 24 hours! His knowledge of the area and the market were critical to our quick sale and fantastic home-selling experience. He was very responsive to our questions and was an excellent guide throughout the whole process. Would highly recommend him!

Doug helped my husband and I every step of the way with buying our first house! He gave us great advice and was extremely realistic with us. There’s no one I’d trust more to go through this process with!
