Kira's website (and license plate) is "Move to Mendocino," and that's exactly what Kira did for us. She helped us buy our dream home within our budget, and I couldn't be happier about it. I'll highlight three ways she demonstrated the highest level of professional expertise: First, Kira knew the market completely. She knew the history of the places in the MLS, and she knew which places were likely to come onto the market (and we even got to tour some of those). Second, Kira was always reachable, always patient with all of my (many) questions, and always had an answer or (if she didn't) followed up to get the answer. In particular, during the various negotiations, I completely trusted Kira's advice about what to ask for and where the flex points were. She also knows all of the vendors in the area and who can best solve a problem. Third, Kira outperformed every other agent I've worked with during the inspections phase. Mendocino homes tend to be complicated--they have a lot of systems and equipment, plus there may be multiple regulators with overlapping jurisdictions (e.g., HOA, city, county, Coastal Commission). Kira knew exactly where the issues might be--asking questions I never would have thought to ask--and proactively initiated investigations into those issues without me asking. Her thoroughness and diligence allowed us to go back to the seller with a comprehensive list of the outstanding issues (several of which the seller didn't know about) and get a fair purchase price adjustment. Through Kira's diligence, I knew exactly what I was buying and what problems I had to solve post-purchase, and I had a plan to do so. Together, we achieved a completely successful outcome. Our Family has had experience purchasing a home in the City of San Francisco and are using that as a reference point. From our perspective Kira proactively did multiple times more work and provided multiple times more insight than we ever faced in San Francisco. In Mendocino County, we found that it is important to be working with someone highly integrated and familiar with the region, which Kira very much is. Kira proactively looked out for us at several steps along the way, including after close. She is a highly valuable partner to have in any RE purchase in the region.
