In short: 1. Negotiated price down 20k from asking 2. Extremely responsive 3. Provided excellent insight on the condition of the homes we toured 4. Went above and beyond to connect us with the right services 5. Was present in person for all inspections/quotes while we were on the opposite coast. 6. Helpful, Friendly, hardworking and honest. I highly recommend Ed! In long: We had only three days to look at houses before moving from California to Pittsburgh. Ed showed us around and helped us find a place that worked for us. We particularly appreciated that he could point out potential structural issues and warning signs (like cracked mortar in various patterns). We then needed to do have all inspections and paper work completed remotely from California. Ed did EVERYTHING. He set up inspections and got quotes from contractors for work that needed to be done. He was completely dedicated to making sure we had all the information we needed before buying our fixer upper. We had a great ball park estimate on the costs of fixing the house before deciding whether or not to buy. At our final walk through we found that the seller had not completely moved out. Ed and the selling agent decided to work together to cover the costs of removing the stuff that was left behind so the seller (in her 80s) would not have to be stressed by it. The stuff was removed first thing the day after closing. This was not an easy closing. The house needed a lot of inspections and a lot of repairs. The seller also needed to postpone closing to better align with her move out schedule. On top of it all. We went camping and left Ed in the dark a few days before closing. Ed worked hard at the last minute to be sure we still closed on time to make up for us being gone. Weeks after closing. Ed is still a great resource for recommendations. I feel strongly that he is honest and cares about the best interests of his clients. What is more, every one of the contractors and inspectors he recommended have been great. He also recommended our mortgage lender, who got us the best rate when we shopped around several different lenders. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Great character and honest.
