The USAA® Real Estate Rewards program has been discontinued, however, rewards options remain.  EffectiveAgents® is committed to providing real estate rewards benefits to all active duty and retired military members and their families.

As of December 31, 2019 the USAA® Real Estate Rewards program has been discontinued.  Citing a preference to focus on the highly competitive mortgage and banking products that they offer active duty and retired military, USAA® ended enrollment in the program on September 6, 2019. USAA® is known for delivering incredible value to service members and their families and their VA and conventional mortgage products are best-in-class.  The former USAA® Real Estate Rewards program was administered by Realogy®, the owner of many top-tier real estate brokerages across the US.

If you are looking for options, EffectiveAgents® may be able to help.

    What is EffectiveAgents®?

EffectiveAgents® is a data-driven agent matching platform that was founded during the mortgage crisis to connect buyers and sellers with exceptional agents based upon their actual performance.

What is the EffectiveAgents Military Real Estate Rewards Program?

The Military Real Estate Rewards program is available to both active duty and retired servicemembers and their immediate family with up to $25,000 in commission rebates*.  USAA® members that would have been eligible for the former real estate rewards program are eligible for a Military Real Estate Rewards commission rebate from EffectiveAgents.com.  EffectiveAgents® is excited to announce the launch of a new military rewards program on Veterans Day, 2020.  Learn how your family can earn up to $25,000 in real estate rewards with this new program.

Visit us on our secure site at effectiveagents.com/militaryrewards, we'll ask for basic information about the home you want to sell or the zip code you want to buy a home in. You'll need to provide accurate contact information so that we can connect you with up to 3 awesome realtors®. From there, expect our agents to take over, when you get a closing date scheduled simply email, call or text message your EffectiveAgents® transaction concierge to let them know.

Once you complete your search for the ideal real estate agent, hop on over to get preapproved by USAA. If you are selling your home be prepared to interview up to 3 agents.  The agents we suggest have been vetted by our research team and rank among the top real estate agents in your market.  If you are purchasing a home, be prepared for a seller's market - this means fewer homes are for sale and you may find yourself competing against multiple buyers in large metros and desirable suburbs.

Here is the "not so fine print":

*USAA®  does not endorse or promote our company's products or services.  The EffectiveAgents® Military Real Estate Rewards benefit is administered by Acuity Real Estate Services, LLC. The program is unavailable for employer-sponsored relocations and is not available for transactions outside the United States. In Oregon, New Jersey, and Mississippi a credit or commission reduction may be available at closing. Please email accounting@effectiveagents.com or service@effectiveagents.com for details.  This is not a solicitation if you are already represented by a real estate broker. Reward amount is based on sale price of home sold or purchased and cannot exceed $25,000 per transaction. To be eligible for the maximum reward of $25,000, the sale price of the home sold or purchased must be $5 million or more. In the past, the average reward amount has been roughly $1,500. Real estate agent fees still apply. In Kansas, Tennessee, Iowa, Alaska, Oklahoma and Louisiana a Visa pre-paid card may be offered.

In order to qualify for the program, you must be enrolled in the program and be represented at closing by an approved agent that we have introduced you to. This benefit is not available to sellers in short sale transactions. In certain states, buyers may need seller cooperation to participate in the Military Rewards program. The reward amount is equal to 50% of the referral revenue received by the program administrator. For commercial and residential real estate purchases and leases, the reward amount will be calculated on the broker’s gross compensation.  The reward amount will be either 12.5% or 17.5% of your real estate agent's compensation, depending on the agreement that we have with your agent. Since real estate commissions are negotiable, and occasionally fluctuate based on transaction intricacies, it is not possible to know the exact reward amount in advance. Real estate agents may not be available in all areas, the program is not available where EffectiveAgents® does not have coverage or in remote areas where an EffectiveAgents® qualified agent is unavailable. In other states where the benefit is offered and an EffectiveAgents® approved agent is unavailable, we may not be able to assist you. Program terms are subject to change.
