    Kathy Rourk is one of the best realtors I have worked with. She knew exactly what type of house we wanted, I think even before we did. I love our new home and we didn't even have it on a list to look at, but she recommended it. And now we are completely satisfied homeowners. When working with our mortgage process, every bump in the road she was able to get us across. I was amazed at how fast she was able to get results with any problems we thought we should give up on. She knew exactly how to help with everything. And she got it done in great time. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell property.

    Kathy worked with us foe almost a year until we found the prefect property for us, she was very patient and understanding. She keep searching for properties that we to our specifications. I would definately recommemd her to others. She is very knowledgeable about this area and gave us information that helped us to purchase a fantastic piece of property that we will build and use for the rest of our life.

    I was in a difficult situation, I had to travel from Virginia to Tennessee to find a new home for my husband and I in a weeks time. My father-in-law recommended Kathy Rourk to me and said she was an excellent agent. I contacted Kathy and we set up a time frame for me to come down and look at houses. I had emailed Kathy and gave her an idea as to what we were looking for and she emailed me some listings. One of the things I liked about Kathy was she didn't try to show me anything that was out of our price range or that needed more work than we were willing to put in. The listings she sent had basements, were single story and had the acreage we wanted. When I came to TN to look at the houses, she listened to what I did and didn't like about each house and quickly adjusted the homes we were going to look at to match our needs. We had looked at four homes and she said to me I know exactly what house I should show you. When we got there and looked at the outside of house and the property that came with it, I was in love with it before we even got to see the inside. She called the caretaker of the property and scheduled a time for us to see the inside. It was everything we were looking for. Kathy really nailed it, it's perfect in every way. We needed to be close to my in-laws, we wanted at least 5 acres, and a ranch home with a basement and basements are hard to come by in TN. We got so much more than that. Kathy told us what the asking price was and it was pretty spot on as far as what we wanted to pay and what we thought the property was worth. With the house we wanted to include the appliances, dinning room set, china cabinet, riding mower, and farm tractor with the attachments. We gave Kathy a price range that we wanted to stay in if we could include those items. Within 36 hours, Kathy had negotiated the sale of the property to include the extra items. I thought the contract was going to be difficult because the sellers lived in three different states but after a couple of emails the contract was signed by everyone and we were set to close on the date that I needed. As I said, my situation was difficult because I needed to be able to look at houses at a particular time, have the contract signed by a certain date in order for my lender to get our closing date when we needed it and still be able to pack up our apartment in Virginia. My husband is military and we had to have everything set for when he came back from overseas and be able to move within three days of him getting home. Kathy did an excellent job of putting the whole package together and made so easy on myself and my husband. To say the least, We were very impressed with how she handled our time constraints, the sellers being in three different states, negotiation of the extra items we wanted with the house and the all inclusive price. Kathy also worked with the sellers to put in a filtration system at no cost to us to make sure that the well water would pass VA standards. She also took three water samples to the water authority for testing since neither the sellers nor I could be there to do it. I always recommend Kathy to anyone I know that is looking to buy a home or sell theirs. She goes above and beyond what I feel a typical real estate agent would normally do and works tirelessly to accommodate her clients in every way, she is a first class agent for sure.
