Janet Burchfield is a fantastic real estate agent, and she has our utmost recommendation. After several months of our using Zillow to search the entire United States for our “Dream House”, we got lucky and found a listing for a house that could possibly meet everything on our wish list plus even more. The house had recently started being constructed on Whidbey Island, and it happened to be just 2 ½ hours from where we were already living in Washington State. We knew we needed to act fast before someone else placed an offer on the house. Using reviews and other information from Zillow’s Agent finder pages, as well as our looking at the Front Street Realty web site, we found and chose the outstanding Janet Burchfield to be our Buyer’s Agent! (We were also impressed with the answers that Janet provided to questions in Zillow’s “Real Estate Advice” section.) That night we spoke to Janet on the phone, and as soon as there was daylight the next morning she drove out to the construction site to take a look for us. Janet confirmed that there would indeed be a view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca from the house. Which is exactly what we had hoped for! Based on that information from Janet we wanted to take a look as soon as possible, so Janet said she would work us in between her previously scheduled other appointments that day. We met Janet at the construction site, and within minutes we told her that we wanted to make an offer. Janet advised us on that offer. Then she had the papers drawn up, and they were sent to the seller/builder very quickly that afternoon. The next morning the seller accepted our offer. (We later found out that there were others interested in the house that were close to making an offer, but thanks to Janet’s promptness we got our offer in first!) Over the months that followed while the house was under construction, Janet advised and guided us every step of the way. Knowing that we lived so far away, Janet and her staff members kindly periodically drove out to the construction site for us to check on the progress of the exterior and interior of the new house. Janet worked very hard to ensure that things went as smoothly as possible for us throughout our entire purchase process. She is very professional, and completely stays on top of things. Janet is a very friendly person, and is a real joy to work with. Thanks to Janet we are now living in what indeed proved to be our Dream House. We are very happy that our online research led us to Janet, as she is the perfect Agent!

Janet is helpful, honest and always available. She really has been a "companion on the journey," and has always ready to jump in when problems or seller/buyer anxiety arises! She helped us buy our home in 2007 in Coupeville and also helped us buy a rental property in Coupeville in 2011. In both situations, she was professional and always available.

Janet has an extensive knowledge of the area and can often recount history on homes that have been bought and sold over the years; she also knows about properties that may be coming up for sale. She knows when a property is overpriced or a good deal. Janet has a good working relationship with other realtors, bankers, inspectors, and appraisers which helps in getting through the purchase process and repair process, if needed. She is invested in this community, and I truly believe she wants all of her buyers to find the right home and be happy here on Whidbey Island.

Janet was very attentive and helpful. She was extremely honest and cared about helping us find the right fit for our family. She worked hard to get us a great deal. She knows Coupeville and Whidbey Island really well. She also is very active in the community, so you know she's is looking out for the interest of both her clients and the community as a whole. We are actually just hiring her again to work on getting a home for my mom. And she's been happy to text and talk about that many times for the last year.

She is a very hard-working and diligent agent. She really watches out for her clients. She is very thorough and practical. She is very good at explaining the items during the transaction that are sometimes difficult for the lay-person to understand. I feel very fortunate to have her as my agent!
