Working with Joe Speakman as our realtor was the best decision we could have made while selling our house! We knew he specialized in our neighborhood, knowing all the local knowledge and even prospective buyers. With Joe’s expertise and connections, we were able to get our house in a contract within 5 days of contacting him and not even putting it on the market! Additionally, Joe assuaged all my concerns about selling a house during COVID 19. We communicated virtually for the majority of our contacts and socially distanced for others. When arranging walk throughs and viewings for the buyer, he explained how we could leave all inside doors open and lights on to minimize any contact. We felt safe with all the precautions he took with us during the process. Additionally, Joe works with an assistant Stacy who was on top of all the documents and administrative minutiae that goes into real estate. She kept us up to date and was very thorough during the whole process. We highly recommend Joe for buying and selling in Columbus and without a doubt would surely work with him again if we are back in the area.

We met Joe at one of his own listings and briefly spoke over the phone about our need to relocate and our desire to be in the Victorian Village area. Joe showed us his home and then proceeded to keep us posted on showings and new listings even though it was above and beyond as we had not selected an agent. Once we decided to go with Joe exclusively he hit the ground running and not only showed us homes promptly and always had our best interests in mind, he was able to coordinate listings and showings for homes that were not even listed. Short of going door to door and reaching out to anyone and everyone, we ended up finding an off the market home and were able to negotiate through Joe as a dual agent. He managed this transaction professionally and with the buyer and seller in mind without feeling as though we were shorted in our representation. He is extremely hard working and knows all aspects of the area and people he serves.

Joe worked diligently with me and my partner for more than 5 months to help find the perfect house. Whenever there was a house I wanted to see he would make himself available and I never felt pressured into putting in an offer. When it came to putting in an offer and working with sellers, Joe was on top of everything - reaching out to the selling agent, considering the market and giving advice for creative ways to make a stronger offer. Overall I had a great experience working with Joe from start to end and was able to find the perfect house.

Joseph is very knowledgeable and worked diligently to sell our home. We received offers on our home within the first week. We were very pleased with his attention to detail and how always made us aware of what what going on. We recommend him highly.
