Nellie deserves far more than 5 stars! I have had other realtors for the purchase and sale of a home and I’ve known many realtors but Nellie far exceeds what any traditional realtor can bring to the table. Beyond her incredibly attentive communication and her superior attention to detail, Nellie‘s background in construction really helped us in many ways- she even went above and beyond to help us understand things beyond her scope as a realtor including helping us plan out a layout for our basement walls, referred us to some great contractors for our HVAC needs and walked us through the MassSave program to help us with financing. She helped us to look at ways to increase our home‘s value for the future, too. With Nellie, we had an offer accepted on a home we never expected due to her understanding of the market and of what the sellers would be looking for- even though we couldn’t pay top dollar. She didn’t force us to think about a particular price- she was thorough with her research including local area sales, HOA review and local permitting and loaded us with information to help us decide what our best offer could be, always answering any questions we had. More than anything, Nellie was a super communicator, even working with our lender when we were unable to due to work constraints. If I ever sell this home or buy anything else, I pray Nellie is still around to be part of it. We’ve been recommending her to anyone looking to buy or sell- whether we know them or not!

I first met Nellie at an Open House she was holding around the corner from my house in Arlington. I spent some time discussing the real estate market with her and admiring her staging skills! I thought "when we sell our house I want Nellie"! She was friendly, extremely knowledgeable about house systems, structural concerns, financing and real estate market patterns - everything you would want in an agent. Fast forward about 8 years and we called Nellie to sell our Arlington home. She was always available to talk and she handled everything from landscaping to painting, cleaning, staging, and of course marketing. I felt that she gave us all her attention though I knew she had many other clients! We were also looking to buy on the North Shore and when we found a house she acted as our buyers agent - and I know her negotiating skills were instrumental in getting the house we wanted in a competitive market. Nellie is a concise business person - very clear in her knowledge of both banking and real estate transactions - we knew we were in good hands. Nellie also got a very good price for our Arlington house at the point when interest rates were rising and sales were wobbling a little. My husband and I cannot recommend Nellie Aikenhead any more highly - she is the best - smart, energetic, engaging and knowledgable!

Nellie is an amazing broker . She has insight into the real estate market and offered great advice that aided me in selling my home. She is very efficient and we met the deadlines we needed to make to get the house ready and looking more beautiful. I will contuinue to recommend her to my friends and family who buy or sell a house . She is a gem.

We had been working with two different realtors over 2 years who said yes to every property we walked into whether or not they were a good fit, so we found Nellie. We wanted to work with someone who had financial expertise for purchasing an investment property, good negotiation skills because price was more important than it is for a primary home, and integration with contractors as well as other service providers to turn around and rent the property. It would be a huge understatement to say that Nellie delivered! She shared financial models, she estimated post purchase expenses including all construction expenses pretty accurately (we saved $1000 from what was estimated), and she went above and beyond to have the house rented in record time. We have investment banking knowledge ourselves so to say we are impressed with Nellie is a big compliment. We are looking forward to working with her again and highly recommend her to others.

Nellie was absolutely crucial to us closing on the condo of our dreams in Boston that fit what we were looking for in the neighborhood we were aiming for, and below budget! We had a complicated closing but Nellie kept us focused, informed, and provided just the right amount of encouragement and care to keep us confident in our decision. You cannot go wrong with Nellie as your agent!
