If you are looking to partner with a real estate agent in the greater Bay Area, I highly recommend Stefan Schermerhorn. Stefan helped my family buy a home in Marin County and supported us every step of the way, even playing the role of “psychological counselor.” You cannot put a price on that! He connected us with a qualified electrician and a blinds/shades consultant who offered discounts just for working with him. His extended network beyond real estate provides hidden value that cannot be understated. On move-in day, our dishwasher malfunctioned. Stefan reminded us of our home warranty and helped get the claim approved, which was huge since it was initially denied. He felt like an older brother who had been through this process a million times. He even found us a lender when our initial one fell through due to HOA issues. He went above and beyond by stopping at a hardware store to buy electrical parts for an issue, which we ultimately did not need, thanks to the electrician. This showed his commitment to ensuring we felt confident about our decision. Stefan's background in home construction and development also instilled confidence during our home searches. He talked us out of an overvalued property that ended up selling for over $300k above the listing price. We avoided that scenario and found a place with a stunning view of Mt. Stefan is a total stand out as a realtor. He is easy to work with, experienced, knowledgeable and goes the extra mile at every stage of the process. Stefan helped me buy a new home when i was living out of state, and I cannot imagine negotiating that whole process without him. Do yourself a very big favor and use Stefan as your agent, whether you are buying or selling a home in Marin County.

Stefan made the home buying process for my wife and I a BREEZE!!! His property recommendations, regular email updates and price comparable research is on point. He was pro-active, followed up after we looked at the recommended homes to understand our needs better and made us feel like we were his only clients ?? He is very patient and NEVER pressured us, instead he motivated us with the right advice by sharing his insights about the property price, renovation costs and possible biddings on certain properties. Did I already mention that his estimates and insights were spot on?! He even recommended us the lender who helped us close on the house in 18 days. On top of all this Stefan has given us amazing recommendations for people who are now going to help us make the house look absolutely Grand! Stefan knows what he’s doing and went above and beyond! This has been such an amazing experience, I’m sure this is not something most people would say about the house buying process in the Bay Area. HIGHLY RECOMMEND working with Stefan!!!

I can’t say enough about the great experience we had working with Stefan to sell our home in Oakland. My wife and I were paying two mortgages, had our hands full with work and kids - with lots of questions about the process - and were looking for an experienced agent to do the heavy lifting for us. After reaching out to Stefan, he got back to us within a couple of hours and we chatted about our goals and concerns about the process – and by the next day we were meeting in person, getting the ball rolling on repairs, strategy, and putting a plan in place. Stefan was great to work with through this process - he kept us informed and updated on every detail of the work on our house, answered every question we had about how to present our home in the best light, and did all the leg work for us. Stefan also has a great eye for what buyers are looking for and was able to help guide some of our decisions, and keep the process moving forward even when we hit a few snags along the way. Stefan has a great sense of humor, is knowledgeable, professional, and was dedicated to getting the best possible outcome for us (which he did) – 5-stars all around – highly recommended.
